Medicare Part D Phases
The Medicare Part D prescription drug program consists of three phases: deductible, initial coverage, and catastrophic coverage. Your cost for a drug depends on which phase you are in at the time you get your prescription filled at the pharmacy. In 2026, your out-of-pocket costs will not exceed $2,100.

Please note: Some plans may have an annual Part D deductible. If you have a deductible, you will pay the full cost of your Part D medications until your plan deductible is met. Then you will enter the Initial Coverage stage.
