Medication Synchronization

At Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, we’re collaborating with many pharmacies to provide an easy and convenient option to manage your prescriptions and stay on track with your medications.

Research shows that people who don’t refill their prescriptions on time are more likely to miss a dose which can lead to serious health conditions. If you’re juggling multiple prescription medications for yourself or someone you care for, it can be challenging to keep track of the refill dates for each prescription.

As an Excellus BCBS member, you have the option to synchronize your prescription refill schedule and pick up all your eligible prescriptions on a single, convenient day each month (or every three months if you have 90-day prescriptions).

Benefits of Medication Synchronization

  • Confidence knowing that you will have every medication you need, when you need them
  • Improves your ability to take medications as prescribed
  • Combines multiple calls and trips to the pharmacy into one easy trip
  • Provides an opportunity to meet with your pharmacist routinely and discuss your medications, side effects, dosages or any other questions you may have.
